hello, i am very much addicted to contionus eating of raw rice & i am loosing my hair very badly at the same time i am losing my weight also.. can i know what is the main reason for all these problems & i am not able to control or to avoid eating raw rice, if could tel me any tips to avoid eating of raw rice.
The continuous craving for eating inedible substances (like raw rice) is known as Pica. It is one of the features of Iron deficiency anemia, Other symptoms mentioned in your post like hair loss & loss of weight can also be explained on the basis of that.
Investigations like complete blood count & peripheral blood smear will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis. Based on the reports, management will include administration of supplemental Iron & Folic acid preparations. Also you need to take a healthy balanced diet rich in green leafy vegetables.
