Hi, I fractured a lower rib 5 days ago.looks like just a small creak on the xray. Impact (snowboarding) was more or less to the centre of the chest. Problem is that my stomach, just below the rib cage, is swollen , as If bloated. Doctors examination was cursory only and focused on the xray of the rib cage. Is this probablyJust swollen Rosie in the abdominal muscles as a result of the contusion or is it worth going back to the doctor for further check up?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that there might be some tear of the muscles below the rib cage, or there might be a hemorrhage below the diaphragm. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis. So i advise you to consult a general surgeon for diagnosis. Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, sea foods, and spices to avoid the pain, and bloating. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
