What Could Cause Choking, Persistent Cough And Hairy Feeling In Tongue When Having History Of Smoking?
Two weeks ago my throat felt like a gair was stuck. I've also had a persistebt cough which gags me to feel as thoygh I'm goi g to throw up. Today...I noticed my toungue is brown near back where my throat is....it feels hairy!! I've smoked for 7 years
Hi, smoking can be a cause of black hairy tongue and this can lead to foreign body sensation in throat. Other causes of black hairy tongue can be fungal infection, poor oro-dental hygiene, use of antibiotics and use of certain mouth washes. Please stop smoking and use clotrimazole mouth paint. Also avoid dehydration and drink plenty of fluids and use a probiotic. In case the problem does not go, see an ENT. Regards
