hii..i am 27 years pld married women.i have been diagnosed with pcos and my gynae advised me to take glycomet sr 1gm & 500 mg daily.but after taking the medicines this month my periods are delayed for 12 days and i feel dizziness, heavy head and fatigue.is it due to the effect of glycomet that my periods are delayed and am having these problems..
the first thing you need to do is take a pregnancy text because many women who have PCOS will get pregnant when they start taking glucomet. if that is positive, then that would explain your symptoms. if it is negative, then it could be a hormonal fluctuation that occasionally happens in PCOS. this should resolve as your periods return to normal. if it continues for more than a few weeks you should see your doctor. I hope this answers your question, please let me know if I can further help you.
