What Could Cause Elevated BP?

I have CLL leukemia but I m just throwing that in here in case you think it is related to this------- I have always had good blood pressure, went in for new prescription, got my pressure, etc------hadn t been feeling very well, weakness is sinus problems, do smoke=====had a heartrate of 140 and pressure checked 175/97----- what the hell happened?/

Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern I would explain you that several factors characterizing your actual clinical status, may explain your elevated BP. First, possible anemia, with resulting hypervolemia exacerbate tachycardia and high BP. Secondly, you should check your renal function as not rarely becomes compromised by the primary disease and trigger high BP. Also, your hypercatabolic state is associated with some pro-inflammatory mediators that do influence high BP. You hyper-adrenergic state also contributes on that issue, too. And so on.
