Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Cause Episodes Of Tingling Sensation In My Hands?
I have tingling in my hands. When I am just sitting at work or driving a car my hands seem to go to sleep. It is real bad at night. If I do not sleep on my back (which is very difficult) my arms hands lose blood flow and hurt. I have to move from side to side all night to keep at least one hand from hurting. Do I have bad blood supply? I also have Hemachromitosis of which I am getting monthly blood donations performed to reduce my Iron.
I request you to get your serum vitamin B level checked 1st. If it is low, take supplements and see if symptoms are relieved. If B12 is normal or symptoms not relieved by supplements, please go to the physician. Meanwhile try to avoid keeping your limbs in one position for long, don't keep them hanging out pressed upon for long.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nirali Thakkar, Pathologist and Microbiologist
