Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a IVF cycle with donor eggs, day 3 embryos, 2transferred and it was a failure. The embryos were grade 1, and my uterine lining at 7.1 - any thoughts as to why this failed? I had a bad reaction to the progesterone and wondered if this negatively impacted implantation, thanks, Clara
Insufficient progesterone levels or deficiency can definitely affect pregnancy. Embryo quality is an important factor in determining successful IVF. Embryos that look good in lab may sometimes have defects which may cause the death of cells before implantation. You can wait for up to 6 weeks or one full menstrual cycle to complete before trying for your next IVF session. All the best.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
