General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

Having frequent face flushing, especially in the evening while sitting reading paper might be related to possible:
- heart problems
- thyroid or other hormonal problem
- oscillation in high blood pressure/sugar levels

I advise to :
- monitor his blood sugar/pressure levels, record the results for future reference
- get his heart checked by cardiologist: ECG, cardiac echo, stress test, holter monitoring
- get a full hormonal tests
- run whole blood work
- do urine analysis
- do abdominal ultrasound

Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed.

Hope it helped!
