My dad has been drinking pretty much his hole life recently in these last couple of months he began to develop breathing problems so I took him to the emergency room and they did a chest x-ray and found that there was fluid on the right side in his lung, and so they drained it and sent h home he was feeling a little bit better and then started to began to drink again about 1-2 weeks after being released from the hospital and has continued to drink again for a couple of months well now anyways he is beginning to have ghe same symptoms as before the shortness of breath again and I was wondering why this keeps continuing to happen to him? And also by the way he was diagnosed with hep C and cerossis of the liver sorry didn,t mention that earlier. ???
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your father if this is plural effusion then this need to be sent for investigation pathological examination to rule out the differential lung pathology because the liver disease rarely causes such collection of fluid, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
