Hello,
E. coli infection commonly occurs due to poor hygiene, use of public washrooms and toilets. Be hygienic, take bath regularly. Also, take bath during
menstruation and after sexual intercourse. Do not douche your vagina and also avoid the use of spermicides.
Menopause causes hormone changes causing changes in your vaginal bacteria, thus there is a higher risk of recurrent infection.
You are advised to get done
Urinalysis (R/E & C/S), you will be treated with antibiotics and analgesics. Improper urination is indicative of
diabetes, bladder problem/cancer,
overactive bladder, stress and anxiety, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
