Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I feel dizzy for a second or two, several times during the day. I had an MRI done and it said, I had mild chronic white matter changes and my physician is not worried. But I continue to have these micro dizzy spells. What else could it be ? This has been for almost 2 months now and has gradually increased in frequency. Thanks for you advice
It is important to know your age and any other medical conditions you have been treated for.Chronic white matter changes is not a serious concern if it is mild and your age is over 60 years.
There happen due to slight decrease in blood flow to your brain due to thickening of the walls of the arteries.I would suggest to get a bilateral carotid artery Doppler scan done to know if there are any other areas which need attention and if the continuing dizziness can be explained due to other causes.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
