Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Usually between 45- 55 years of age menopause sets in (average 47 years) .

Your complaints of irregular bleeding with cramps after long gaps, might be because of menopause or other conditions like tissue growth, cancer, thinning & thickening of vaginal lining, medications etc. I advice you to,

-to do Transvaginal USG & endometrial biopsy at the earliest for further evaluation
- PAP smear & breast examination.
- Antispasmodics to get relieved of cramps
- calcium & vitamin supplements
-Nutritious diet rich in proteins.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
