What Could Cause Labia Majora Irritation?

I'm in my mid sixties and noticed today that my labia majora was irritating. I've been wearing new, different underwear and thought this was the cause. On inspection was horrified to see raised blue veins and one black spot. I've been looking on line and see that varicose veins in the labia sometimes occur during pregnancy. Help please - I'm definitely NOT pregnant!

Hi,

Vulvar varicosities are unusual in women who have not been pregnant. Rarely in older women, particularly after standing for a prolonged period. I would suggest you to check for varicose veins elsewhere on your body. This could also cause vulvar varicosities.

Kindly avoid standing or sitting for long periods of time.Elevate your legs. This can help promote circulation. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to your vulva. This can also ease your discomfort.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
