Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my left heel has been numb for a couple of days, no pain and no other symptoms but this started the morning after a heavy day of exercise. Is this something i should be worried about? also i should mention i have a varicus vein in the same leg, please help.
As the numbness is present from a few days I will advise to take up a Doppler scan for the varicose veins and MRI for the lumbar spine. As due to nerve root entrapment there is a possibility of the numbness in the heel and also due to the reduced blood supply in the varicose veins. Having it ruled out that what causes the numbness the treatment will be guided accordingly towards the rehabilitation plan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Jay Indravadan Patel, Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist
