What Could Cause Pain In Chest, Lower Abdomen And Back After Taking Medicines For Yeast Infection And Change Of Contraception?
hi i have just changed the cotraception recently and I also had an yeast infection two weeks ago, i was perscribed medication for yeast infection and the new contraception. I have been having a chest pain, lower abdominal pain, and lower back pain. I am not sure what is going on but i am not feelig good. Can you please advise what could it be? Thank you
Hi, Thanks for the query. While using hormonal contraceptive measure sometimes pain abdomen can be seen as side effect. But chest pain is not a common side effect. Sometimes gastritis can be misinterpreted as chest pain. Gastritis can occur as of a side effect with intake of many tablets. Usually minor side effects will subside after few days of usage. If the symptoms persist once consult gynecologist and get evaluated. If your doctor recommends go for symptomatic treatment. If symptoms persist even after that, you may have to change the contraceptive measure. Take care.
