What Could Cause Pain In Left Knee Near Kneecap With Chills And Mild Sore Throat?
Hi, My left knee started to hurt today and is getting worse. I did not fall or run or exercise, only did yoga yesterday (but did not feel anything until today late morning). The pain is in the soft spot slightly below and to the left of the kneecap. Worst when walking, climbing stairs, and when straightening. Probably not related but at the same time a mild sore throat and chills also developed. Any idea what it might be and what to do?
According to your symptoms and findings there is osteoarthritis of your knee. . You can start cartilage protecting medication like chondritin sulphate, that you need to take for couple of months.
If required MRI knee can be done and if there is severe destruction of menisci then arthroscopic shaving can be done.
