Hello and welcome,
I understand your problem.
There are many causes of
chronic pelvic pain. The common ones are a condition called
endometriosis where the uterine lining grows inside the abdomen and sheds there during periods leading to blood collection and pain. Over the years it forms adhesions to other organs and produces a constant pain.
Other reasons are pelvic infections, adhesions from surgeries or past infections, ovarian cysts and prolapsed ovaries or even a
retroverted uterus.
The diagnosis can be established by an
ultrasound and sometimes a laproscopy may be needed to diagnose conditions like endometriosis and adhesions.
The pill is used to treat endometriosis. However it is not recommended in smokers. Please quit
smoking if possible as it is injurious to health and a prime factor in many cancers. Other remedies are a course of antibiotics to help control any infections or then a laproscopy to help confirm the diagnosis.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
