What Could Cause Red Boil Near Nipple?

I m a female. I see red boil near my nipple. It s hard inside and I see a small hole in the centre of the boil like an acne. I see one more nearby. It looks like the boil is just starting and it slightly black in color. Is it something I should worry about?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that a course of antibiotics Amoxycillin Clauvulunic acid tablet will be required for your condition, to be taken for 5 days. Also, a course of analgesics will be required for your condition, in case this condition doesn't reduce, an ultrasound examination of both breast may be required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
