My daughter delivered a baby 1 wk ago today...she had an epidural and has had a headache since delivery (more or less) She visited her MD the day before yesterday and they drew blood. They called her this morning and said everything was fine. Not sure what test they actually did. Anyway..Her headache is so strong now she is crying. SHe has Hashimotos and barely producing any milk either so she is using formula and weaning down on pump..What could the headaches be from?

Hello,
Headache post-delivery can have several causes ranging from simple tiredness, sleeplessness, stress of raising the new born, hormonal disturbances, hypertension, post-epidural headache, anemia and so on. Please wait for the blood report and ask the physician for the possible need for a renal and neurological assessment. An ophthalmologist check up may also be done to rule out any coexistent refractive errors. Please see that she sleeps enough and has less stress and eats good diet. Hope this helps.
