What Could Cause Significant Rash Of Big Sores On Lower Abdomen And Groin In 2 Year Old?
Hi, My 2 year old daughter has developed a signifcant rash consisting of large sores on the left side lower abdomen and groin. It is now drying up and seems to be healing but it looks horrible and painful but it doesnt seem to bother her at all. Any ideas? I do have a photo of it.

From the description given so far it appears to be Impetigo. It is staphyloccocal infection of skin which is quite commonly seen in this age group.
Local application of Mupirocin ointment will be helpful.
