What Could Cause Small, Flesh Colored Bumps On Dry Lips?

Hi Doc. Small bumps appear on lips today. They are small, flesh colored, and dosent hurt. The corner of my mouth hurts though. I havent kissed anyone or had Oral sex. So no herpes. I couldnt figure if it was an allergic reaction or If my lips were just dry. I didnt have dry lips because of my blistex. When I woke up, my lips Were dry but I had covered them with blistex. And the bumps started growing on Saturday.

Hello,

As per your case history, you have cheilitis. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lip balm with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply an oral steroid cream like Kenacort oral paste twice a day.
3. Take a vitamin B12 supplement once daily for three months. If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
