What Could Cause Small Sensitive Dips On My Scalp Followed By Occasional Headaches Post A Hair Transplant Procedure?

Hi, I had a hair transplant about 7 months ago now and I have started to notice a couple of small sensitive dips on my scalp followed by headaches sometimes. I went to see my gp he just dismissed it down to dandruff but I don’t think this is the case

Hello,

Your symptom may be indicative of minor necrotic patch. It commonly occurs in smokers. Avoid smoking. It occurs due to the wound's tension closure. Pain can be due to the incisions made during the procedure and the sutures used to close them. The more the grafts are transplanted the more is the chance of discomfort.

The scalp tissue experiences trauma during transplantation, leading to redness and swelling and headache. Get clinically examined to detect neurological pain or headache. Other medical condition that can cause similar symptoms are infection, folliculitis, post- transplant effluvium that may be causing small sensitive dips.

The positive effects of hair transplantation are that a study has revealed that migraine headache decreases after hair transplant. Get it clinically examined by a hair transplant expert so that the cause of the symptoms can be confirmed, and treatment started at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
