What Could Cause Swelling And Hardness Of Testis Despite Inguinal Hernia Repair?

My husband had inguinal hernia repair 9 days ago. He had swelling and bruising of his genitals. However, since then the swelling and bruising has completely regressed in one testicle and his penis. His other testicle is still swollen to twice is normal size and rock hard. No soft points in any part of it at all.

Surgery in this area may cause hemorrhage some times.

This hemorrhage may get clotted in some arra, I suspect it in your testis of one side.

Hard testis may be because of the clotted blood.

But direct visual examination can confirm the status.

I advice you to do physical examination of the testis and related genitalia.

If it's simply hemorrhage than you can wait for some time to get hemorrhage retract.

In case of any infection or malignancy you can take antibiotic or chemotherapy as per the case. Please take doctors guidance before acting.

Please avoid injury to the related part.
