What Could Cause Throbbing Pain On The Left Side Of Neck Near The Vein?

yes, Can you tell me what it might be when you have throbing pain on the left side of neck where the vein is. It happens normally when I am stressed it goes down into my shoulder. It has been going on for 4 monthes. Please let me know. I am 40 years of age. thank you, Jennifer

Hello Jennifer. This isn't a vein problem. It sounds like a nerve root compression problem from a ruptured disk in your neck and you need to have your doctor order an MRI scan of your cervical spine to check for that.
