What Could Cause Vaginal Bleed Post Sex While On Bactrim And History Of Hysterectomy?
I am a 53 year old female,I have sexual intercourse alot and sometimes there will be blood after or during intercourse, just a faint odor and its not really dark blood just light colored.I am taking the antibiotic Bactrim because my Dr. thought my fractured toe was bitten by a spider with an infection.Anyways does this drug bactrim cause the bleeding?????Or ,is it the sex I am having with my partner????I have had a hysterctomy and have nothing left in my body to make me bleed so Im freaking out.I get a normal pap smear every year since I had my cancer in the pelvic area lymph nodes and then I had Leukemia but I have been cancer free for 10 years now.Everything was taken out back in 2000.
You had hysterectomy but it doesn't mean you have nothing to bleed. Bleeding can be from vaginal wall or the vaginal vault. The reason may be trauma during sexual intercourse or recurrence of cancer. You have to be examined clinically and invesigated to find out the cause and to be treated accordingly.
