What Could Cause Varying Breathing Patterns?

I am 45 years male. All of sudden my breating pattern changed and it became heavier. I measured my BP which was 160/90 and my pulse was 106. I went to a hospital and the readings were same. They went for an ECG which showed some changes. I rested there for 30 mins and went for another ECG which was OK and my BP and pulse was normal. As advised I went for TROP-T which was negative. Next day I went for ECG, TMT , ECHO and one more TROP-T. All are OK. My doctor was worried because of some changes in initial ECG. Now he says I am OK and there is nothing to be worried about. Please advise

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

ECG is the base line test of cardiology. If trop t, tmt, 2 D echo tests are normal then don't worrry as your mother is clear from cardiac side. Combined together the sensitivity of these tests are more then 85%. Breathlessnes can also be because of anxiety or gastritis. Just keep on taking medicines for hypertension, target BP for her is 140/90 mm of hg.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rishu Saxena
