What Could Constant Urge And Pain During Urination With Chills Mean?
I recently went to the doctor for symptoms of extreme pain while urinating, chills, lower back pain, the constant urge to urinate but no urination. I am a 16 year old virgin(for sure). I do not have visible blood in the urine. They sent a urine sample to a lab to be culture tested(this is what I think he said). We are waiting for results but he told me today I have extra nitrates in my urine which is suspicious. Could u help put this in simpler terms and tell me the possible injury or illness I have?
Your symptoms are suggestive of urinary tract infection which may be due to many causes like stones which usually give blood in urine and many conditions predisposing to it like diabetes, female gender.
So you need to wait for the culture test to come to receive a proper antibiotic, and in the meantime, your doctor can start you on an empiric antibiotic.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
