What Could Dark Spots On Vulva Suggest?

Hi, I have two spots on my vulva. One is dark brown, almost black and the other is bluish-brown and has what looks like a layer of skin over it. They don t hurt but are occasionally uncomfortable. They appeared suddenly about six months ago and have got a bit bigger since. I have been very tired and have not had a period since March. I don t know if these things are related.

Hi,

The two black and brown macular lesions on vulva may be either mole (melanocytic nevus) or seborrheic keratosis. Both the conditions are benign in nature. So, you need not to worry. Still, you feel embarassing.. You consult dermatologist. Both the lesions may be removed by electrocautery. It is a minor procedure fone in OPD under local anaesthesia. Cryotherapy and laser therapy are other methods of treatment. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
