What Could Delayed Periods With Light Pink Bleeding Indicate?
Hi I have taken two pregnancy tests that say negative. One 2 days after missed period. One today at 5 days since missed period. Im never late (maybe a day at most). Today i have started bleeding an extreamly light pink colour (nothing like the normal bright red blood). Is it possible that i am pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Delayed or missed periods should always be suspected for pregnancy as first possibility. Sometimes, urine pregnancy test could indicate it to be negative. The other possibility of delay in periods could be caused due to hormonal imbalance or stress. Although you have started spotting, kindly get the following tests done to come to conclusion what might be the cause for delayed periods. 1. Serum beta-HCG levels. 2. Serum FSH, LH and Prolactin levels. 3. Ultrasound scan of pelvis. Kindly consult Gynecologist if there is any abnormality detected in the reports. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
