What Could Diarrhea, Loss Of Appetite And Painful Abdominal Cramps Indicate?

For 2 days my husband, 65, has been experiencing a variety of uncomfortable symptoms. It started with diarrhea and loss of appetite. Today it has been cramping especially on the right side with fairly intense pain and continued loss of appetite. No fever. No nausea. Tonight the pain is radiating into his back also. He says the pain is a 5 on a 1-5 scale and comes in waves. Suggestions?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, chances of protozoa infection is very likely and this can be best managed with "Tab Metronidazole 400 mg" twice in day for 7 days, this is nothing to worry because it will be fine soon, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
