What Could Discomfort In Stomach, Vomiting And Weight Gain Indicate?

Hi I went to my gp last year I told him I felt very ill inside . I had woken in the night I felt as if I was swallowing something big my stomach was going up and down. I had to get to the bathroom started vomiting straight away and have been like this since last year. I also have been gaining unexplained weight when I hardly eat. Also it feels different down below and the sensation im getting has now gone into my groin and travelling down my left leg. Which has now tripled in size and I am not able to walk on my legs properly also have indentations forming. I have noticed just recently when I open my jaw it feels like it s crumbling . I also cannot cross my legs or stand for long periods.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Weight gain with vomiting & abdominal discomfort may be due to medical conditions like hypothyroidism, peptic ulcer, depressive disorder, PCOS or congenital heart disease, etc.

You can take antacids & PPI's for relieve. Take spasmol(sppasmoproxyvon), one sos when stomach pain. Take liver tonics & digestives.

Avoid constipation, take laxatives at bed time. Stay well hydrated, stay active. Do regular exercises & avoid sedentary life.

Get all blood tests(CBC, LFT, Lipid function tests), T3,T4, TSH, Stress test, Imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected & your clinical condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
