What Could Draining Ears In A Child Post Treatment For Ear Ache Indicate?
My 9 yr old daughter was complaining about an ear ache/cloudy hearing from right ear but no leakage. Today is Wednesday. I took her to the Dr Monday and she was prescribed antibiotics ear drops 3 drops 3x a day for 10 days but after the drops i noticed her ear is draining. Could it be the infection clearing up in her ear or should she not be leaking at all from her ear?

It seems that there might be having middle ear infection and now ear drum might have ruptured and drainage is there.
She might require one course of oral antibiotic medicine for 5 days to clear middle ear infection.
Continue putting ear drops after cleaning the ear.
Ok and take car.
