What Could Excessive Burping, Reduced Appetite After Intake Of Gaviscon For Acid Reflux Indicate?
my 8 year old has been given gaviscon to aid acid reflux which seems to be a symptom left over from a sickness bug.
He has speech difficulties so finds it hard to express and explain how he is feeling. He has been on this medication for 4 days now but the symptoms seem to be getting worse and he is now burping excessively. (very loud and very long)
He is now reluctant to eat properly

Burping is due to Graviscon but other symptoms are not related to the drug. make him drink plenty of fluids.
