What Could Flat Red Spots On Fingertips Suggest?

My 6 year old son has flat red spots on each fingertip that look like burns. The strange thing is I had a swimming student at my pool with the same thing on Monday so I m thinking it s contagious. Do you know what this could be? He said it doesn t hurt, just tingles a little.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis on fingers.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
