What Could Fluctuating Temperature In A Child Indicate?

Hello. My 4 year old has been running a fever off and on since early this morning. 104.5 then went down after fever reducer, then back up to 101 several hours later. He slept a lot and got back to what seemed to be 100%. then out of nowhere it seemed, he spiked another fever of 102. We gave him more fever reducer. Is it normal for a fever to come and go like this?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the fever is due to some infection then infection need to be treated, if this is due to viral infection then you need to wait for some days and this would be fine soon, some time this may need some blood test for confirmation of infection or to know the underlying cause, take care.
