What Could Fluttering In Belly During 10th Week Of Pregnancy Suggest?
Hi! I am 10 weeks pregnant and have been feeling an odd fluttering in my belly near my uterus. It feels similar to an eye twitch. It is not painful and completely involuantary. Is this more likely a muscle spasam from my body stretching, or could it possibly be the baby moving and/or twitching?
So early during pregnancy, at 10 weeks the foetal movements have not started and not perceived by mother. So that is ruled out.
Uterine contractions trying to throw out the product of conception will be painful and usually associated with some amount of bleeding. You have neither of these. So this possibility also can be expelled out.
The most likely cause according to me is excessive intestinal movements due to gases or indigestion. Do you have gaseous problem or indigestion? Some carminative like soda, carminative mixture or methyl polysiloxine can give you relief from this discomfort. If you are on iron tablets, you may discontinue them for few weeks and restart again. If your haemoglobin is above 11.5 gms%, you need not take iron tablets daily, alternate day iron also will help you. However, start iron after completing 3 months. Iron can give rise to such symptoms.
I hope you got the guidance.
