What Could Hard And Painful Bump On Right Shoulder Indicate?

Today I found a bump on my right shoulder. It is hard and bony and doesn t move when I put pressure on it. It looks just like the one on my left shoulder it is just a bit bigger. The bump hurts to the touch and I have never felt pain there before. I am in pain whether I m moving or stationary. It has persisted throughout the day and the area around it also hurts. I ve looked it up and I m worried that it might be bone cancer. One specifically matched what I was feeling- im worried that it may be osteosarcoma. And that would be more common for my age because I am a teenager. Is this bump something I should worry about it go to the doctors for?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to hcm,
You noticed swelling today on your shoulder which is painful, swelling at that site doesn't indicate osteosarcoma only. It could be because of many reasons like trauma, minor fracture, ligament injury. I advise you to get xray done for confirmation.

Thank you
