What Could Headache Near The Neck With Lumps Suggest?

my daughter has been having headaches that seem to come from the back of her neck over the last month. I have just massaged her neck as she has another one, when it is straight I feel nothing but when she bends her head to the left side I can feel a lump and if I touch it she says it is tender and hurts

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Headache associated with lump on left side of neck suggests lymphadenopathy on left side of neck.
Lump in neck is commonly due to lymph node enlargement.
Tender lump on side of neck is usually due to acute infection.
A fine needle aspiration cytology of the lymph node is required.
Aspiration cytology of the lymph node will determine the nature and character of the lump.
In case infection is detected, appropriate antibiotic can be given.

Thanks and take care
