Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Inflammed Area On Tendon Of Forearm Indicate?
I have what I thought was golfer s elbow. 3 years. Have been doing therapy, wearing braces, etc. Today I was probing, massaging and it appears the most inflamed area is in tendon along inside of humerus, beginning ~ 2 fingers above point in elbow and extending for another 3 fingers. All the material I find relates to what s going on in the forearm. Should I keep treating as golfer s elbow or might I have something else in play here?
The symptoms seem to be related to tendinitis which is an inflammation of the tendon. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. Gentle stretching exercises might be helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
