What Could It Be If Child Has Red Spots On Arms, Mouth After Recovering From Fever?

My 3 year daughter got a fever 2 nights ago but since that time has had a normal tempurature but has still not been feeling 100%. Now today I noticed she has small red spots like a spread out rash on her arms and sores or spots in her mouth. Any idea what could be the cause?

hello
i have gone through your query. i thnk it can be a case of erythema infectiosum also commonly known as the fifth disease.it is a viral infection caused by parvovirus.
it begins with a low-grade fever, headache, and mild cold-like symptoms. These symptoms pass, and the illness seems to be gone until a rash appears a few days later.Kids younger than 10 years old are most likely to get the rash. The rash is the result of an immune system reaction that occurs after the infection has passed.
The rash of fifth disease usually lasts 1 to 3 weeks
majority of kids with fifth disease recover with no complications.
visit a doctor especially if the rash is widespread over the body or accompanied by other symptoms.
normally kids with fifth disease feel fairly well and need little home treatment other than rest.
visit a physician to knw the exact diagnosis

hope this ans helps

Regards
Dr. Shesh
