What Could It Be If Throat Hurts While Swallowing, Talking, Turning Head And Can Feel Something Popping In The Throat?
I just had an incident that I get every now and then, maybe once every 3 or 4 months? Sometimes when I stretch my neck and yawn at the same time something in my throat sounds like it pops and then I feel something in the throat at the very top near my bottom jaw literally pop out of place, it then becomes very painful to swallow, talk, or even move my head about. I've learnt that I can fix it by continuously swallowing, pushing my throat around or even yawning but it's painful until I can get that to happen. Any idea what this might be or if it's dangerous to keep occuring?
HI Thank for asking to HCM Two strong possibilities are there first is foreign body, may be fish bone or any hard material, second is lesion due to acid reflex disease, for the first reason the throat need to be look through the scope, but I would advise you to start taking the proton pump inhibitor first, Omeprazole 40 mg once in day and antacid with local anaesthetic effects these will give good result, if these fails to respond then it need to be examine with the scope, have nice day.
