What Could Itchy Anus And Vaginal Area Suggest?

A year ago I started to notice around my anus was itchy, over time it has become even more itchy and very recently it seems to have spread to my vaginal area.. I have been tested for parasites and came out negative. I have two small hemorrhoids and a very swollen area between the anus and vagina.

Hi,

Your symptoms are suggestive of hemorrhoids and vaginitis, it is mainly due to fungal infection, keep the area dry and clean and drink a lot of warm water and soft diet, use antifungal medicine and cream for application.

Wear cotton undergarments, eat curd more and sugar less. Don't wash vagina frequently with water. Check your blood sugar. For hemorrhoids you have to use sitz bath and eat lots of vegetables and fruits

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
