What Could Itchy, Painful Lump Above The Eyebrow Of A Child Indicate?

My son was outside yesterday and we think he was bitten by an insect above his right eye. This morning, he had a large golf ball sized lump above his eyebrow. We gave him tylenol then benedryl thus far. The lump now appears to be getting larger after the above OTC meds have run there course. Any idea what this could be or how to reslove it? My son indicates it itches and it hurts

I really appreciate your concern, right now anti-inflammatory drug can be tried and best would be Ibuprofen and care need to be taken for infection and for that it is advisable to get done the clinical examination, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
