What Could Maternal Cystitis In Ultrasound Report Suggest?
My ultrasound report indicated: intrauterine fetus at 10 wks 2 days means maturity, with features of maternal cystitis, and urinary bladder walls and thickened likely due to cystitis.What is the cause of that thickness ? and how you examine more effectively the maternal cystitis?

1.Cystitis is infection to the bladder / UTI - urinary tract infection.
2.This is diagnosed by presence of irregular and thickened bladder wall, and presence of echogenic floaters with in the bladder ( these are ultrasound findings)This more than enough to diagnose cystitis.
3.An urine culture will help in the identification of the pathogens and blood and pus cells.
4.A course of antibiotics will help to cure the cystitis. with plenty of water.
