What Could Mild Swelling Under The Armpit With Slightly Enlarged Lymph Node Indicate?

I have swelling under one of my armpits Like a puffy swelling. A little bit under that I feel a somewhat painful slightly enlarged lymph node. This occurred after I aggravated my injured shoulder on that side (right side) I am of course worried this could be some kind of cancer and have an appointment Monday am. Just interested in your opinion. Thank you, Joan Diego

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you have a history of injury to the shoulder then the swelling is likely related to this.

Swelling occurs in response to injury.

Lymph nodes also occur as a part of the body's inflammatory response and do not necessarily indicate that any cancer is present.
They increase in size in infections, allergies, severe trauma as well

I hope this helps
