General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
I can understand your concern.
Since you are your boy friend are living like husband and wife, the missed periods could be due to an early pregnancy.
I advise you to get the pregnancy test done on an early morning urine sample to confirm the pregnancy. If the repeat pregnancy test is negative even after one week of the first test, then the missed period could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, emotional upset, infection, etc.

Hope this answers your query.
