What Could Missed Periods While On Birth Control Post C Section Indicate?
Hello, I had a emergency c section almost 5 months ago. I have not received my.period yet. I am not breastfeeding and there is possible way of pregnancy I am on nuva rings and still using condoms. Are there any other problems that maypossibly be going on?
Even if you are not breastfeeding, after a pregnancy the hormones change a lot and remain unstable til 6-8 months after the pregnancy. The changes in the hormones can cause lack of ovulation and therefore no period. Give your body time to recover. Eat healthy and be active. You can consider doing an ultrasound and check overall the uterus and ovaries for possible polycystic ovaries. I don't think that is the case though.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General & Family Physician
