Hi,
There can be various reasons for pain upper abdomen. Most commonly it occurs due to
gastroesophageal reflux disease or gastritis- in which there is inflammation of the stomach mucosa. Besides, there can be other reasons like
cholecystitis (inflammation of the
gall bladder -pain usually on the right side but can come to the center also).
Sometimes conditions of the liver or pancreas can also have upper
abdominal pain. Rarely excess workouts or sports injuries can also cause such pain. Also, we need to rule out heart-related diseases. Since you are also having bleeding while passing stool, you need to be careful about hemorrhoids also. So first of all drink plenty of water and avoid eating spicy and fried food. Try to avoid constipation.
Since you already have an appointment if symptoms are not getting controlled, go for some investigations like
complete blood count, liver function tests, stool examination and ultrasound abdomen. This will help us to make a proper diagnosis and plan the treatment accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
