Hi im really worried because last year around october I woke up with a painful lump kind of like a pimple on my left armpit and it would hurt to the touch even would hurt to move my arm . But keep in mind I had shaved my armpits 1 day or 2 before the lump appeared. So the pain went away after 1 week and i was left with a small lump that never went away , the lump hasnt grown in size nd it is movable not stiff. Ive also started to have pain in the left armpit area nd sometimes the breast, also sometimes on my right breast. Im 16 and will be turning 17 soon. No one in my family had ever been dignosed with breast cancer please reply i am really concerned .
Hello Since you are 17 years and shaved your arm pit hairs . This lump or bump developed after that means related to shaving i.e. infection due to some bacterial reason so in my opinion this is not a cause of concern . In armpit usually there are so many sebaceous glands hence prone to infection . This type of swelling known as lymphadinitis and I usually advise my patient some levofloxacin 750 mg tablet once in day just for 5 days . You can also take some ibuprofen 400 mg thrice in day for 5 days. Still after this treatment you didn't get relief then consult a surgeon and get his opinion. Good luck.
