What Could Pain In Groin Suggest?

I am a 35 year old woman. On and off for about the last year, I have been having occasional sudden stabbing pain in my lower groin and inner thigh upon walking. When this occurs, I can't lift my right leg. It subsides after a few minutes, but has been happening more often lately.
